The Ceremony of Life
Didgeridoos
Each one of these didgeridoos are hand-crafted in Sedona, Arizona by William Murphy with love and intention in his home.
They are made from the stalk of the local agave plant.
At the culmination of the life of each agave plant, it shoots out a large central stalk, branches out in seed pods, spreads its seed, and then dies.
Care is taken to harvest the stalk at the appropriate time, after the plant has concluded the process of seeding. The plant is offered tobacco and prayers of gratitude before harvested.
The agave stalk then undergoes a multi-stage process in order to transform it into a didgeridoo. They are carved out and coated with a durable polymer epoxy which cures to a hardened finish and bright glossy shine. Wooden mouthpieces are then fitted on each, often from a local mesquite.
Each finished piece is a finely crafted, tuned, durable, work of functional art. These didgeridoos are strikingly beautiful well-made professional grade instruments.
Each didgeridoo comes with a free lesson from the maker.
